Dr. Theisz is a lifelong resident of the Pascack Valley in Bergen County. Raised in Emerson and Westwood he graduated from Westwood High School and went on to Fairleigh Dickinson University and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1971.
Dr. Theisz has been very active in his professional community throughout his tenure. He served as his profession’s representative to the Bergen and Passaic County Health Systems Agency for many years. He represented the American Optometric Association’s legislative committee in Washington, D.C. where he regularly met with state representatives to further health care. He was a Trustee for the New Jersey Optometric Association. Dr. Theisz originated and remains a member of his local professional study group. For 34 years Dr. Theisz served in a volunteer capacity as the clinic doctor for the Pascack Valley Hospital Eye Clinic.
